Trailblazers Donor Reception 2025

On Wednesday, June 11th, 2025, the Foundation hosted the annual Trailblazer Donor Reception. It was a lovely event where we got to celebrate the amazing students who were selected for bursaries and the donors who support them!

The night featured speeches from Peel Children’s Aid Foundation Board Chair, Elaine Moore, and Peel Children’s Aid Society CEO, Mary-Beth Moellenkamp. The reception was anchored by our two MCs: Chris Kannampuzha, Foundation Staff, and Simone Brady, Youth Mentor. 

We also heard a personal reflection from a bursary winner, Rhaven-Symone Wynter. She shared her story on how the bursary she won supported her education. We had an awesome performance as well from our youth. Christy shared their amazing talent for spoken work. Amanda Alves and Simone from the Youth Success Team also led a classroom activity for all attendees.

The night ended with the recipients being awarded their bursaries and an announcement from Haleon Canada for a renewal of their commitment of $50,000 to their Haleon Scholarship. We also want to extend our gratitude to Brar’s for their donation of samosas, and Krispy Kreme for their donation of donuts.
