Evening From a Roman Path – Joanne Clark

Artist: Joanne Clarke
Medium: Acrylic on Canvas
Size: 30″ x 40″
Title: Evening From a Roman Path (CLA 188)
Value: $3,600 – Framed

Joanne has been exhibiting professionally since 1980. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto and worked in the pharmaceutical development field for several years before returning to art and painting, both of which she had been immersed in as a child and adolescent. While she studied various art programs at the Ontario College of Art, Art Sake Inc., and the Schneider School of Fine Art she considers herself to be primarily self-taught. Her maturity as an artist has been an evolution based on experimentation, initiative, curiosity, discipline, observation, reading, dreaming, and attention to process. She also believes that her scientific background has contributed to her evolution as an artist—an altered depth.

Oasis - F Scott MacLeod

Artist: F Scott MacLeod
Medium: Oil on Canvas
Size: 30″ x 40″
Title: Oasis
Value: $4,450 – Framed

F. Scott MacLeod was born in 1954 in Sydney, Nova Scotia, and has built a long and respected career as a painter working primarily in oil on canvas. Largely self-taught, his work has been influenced by artists such as Matisse, Modigliani, and Diebenkorn, resulting in a spontaneous, painterly style defined by bold, inorganic use of colour. Drawing inspiration from the landscapes of Nova Scotia and memories of growing up in Ontario, MacLeod creates fictional and literal scenes that explore place, movement, and inner experience. His evolving body of work includes landscapes, figurative paintings, and still lifes, each reflecting different stages of his personal and professional journey. MacLeod has exhibited extensively, received national critical attention, and his work is held in major corporate collections across Canada and the United States.

Montreal-born Claudia Jean McCabe returned to school in 1989, earning an Honours Diploma in Graphic Design from George Brown College in Toronto. That same year, she discovered her passion for painting and was elected to the Society of Canadian Artists. Guided by intuition and imagination rather than realism, McCabe describes her work as an expression of the soul. She has taught and led workshops at several institutions and has received numerous awards, including the Oeno Gallery Award of Excellence. Her work has been widely exhibited across Ontario and is held in private and corporate collections internationally.

Georgian Bay – Brian Atyeo

Artist: Brian Atyeo
Medium: Watercolour
Size: 28″ x 40″
Title: Georgian Bay
Value: $4,500 – Framed

Brian Atyeo is a 20th-century Canadian painter best known for his colorful depictions of rugged Canadian landscapes. Working in a style based in the tradition of the famed Canadian Group of Seven painters—which included Arthur Young Jackson, Frederick Varley, and Arthur Lismer—Atyeo brings a lyrical approach to his observations of Northern terrains. One such example is the painting Spring ice, Fraser Bay (1998), which features a partially frozen body of water flowing between pine tree-covered mountains under a bright cerulean sky. Born in 1950 in Toronto, Canada, he went on to work as an architectural illustrator in western and central Canada until 1980, when he decided to devote himself to his own painting practice. He is a member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour and the Ontario Society of Artists. Atyeo travels throughout Canada making plein-air paintings year round.

Greek Wheat – Andrea Padovani

Artist: Andrea Padovani
Medium: Oil on Canvas
Size: 24″ x 30″
Title: Greek Wheat
Value: $3,525 – Framed

Born in Verona, Italy, Andrea Padovani is an entirely self-taught artist who pivoted from a career in accounting to achieve international acclaim. Since his first solo shows in 1995, his work has been exhibited across the globe, including Geneva, Berlin, Singapore, and major US cities. Following a successful showing at Artexpo Vancouver in 1998, Padovani was so inspired by the BC coast that he relocated there with his family.

His career is marked by prestigious milestones, including having over 300 works featured on an international cruise ship and a commission for Monte Paschi Banque in Paris, the world’s oldest bank. Today, Padovani exhibits extensively throughout Canada, the US, and Europe. A dedicated philanthropist, he regularly supports gallery fundraisers, making him a fitting contributor to the Peel Children’s Aid Foundation’s “Art With Heart” initiative.
