RIDE FOR RAJA
Ride for Raja is a third-party fundraising event in support of Peel Children’s Aid Foundation, organized by the Mandeep Singh Cheema Charitable Foundation (MSCCF).
Founded in memory of Mandeep Singh Cheema, lovingly known as “Raja,” the annual ride honours his legacy of kindness, generosity, and community spirit. Raja was known for his fun-loving nature and his willingness to help others, and his family created this event to keep that spirit alive following his tragic passing in September 2012.
Through Ride for Raja, MSCCF raises funds to support vulnerable youth, particularly those in and from the foster care system, by investing in post-secondary education and positive social opportunities.
For several years, Ride for Raja has partnered with Peel Children’s Aid Foundation to help expand educational opportunities for young people connected to care. Funds raised through this event contribute to programs that support mental health and wellness, poverty relief, post-secondary education, skills development, and diversity, equity, and inclusion—helping to bridge critical gaps and empower youth to move forward with confidence.
As a volunteer-led initiative, Ride for Raja continues to grow thanks to the dedication of its organizers, riders, sponsors, and supporters who come together each year to celebrate Raja’s life while making a lasting impact.
